WELCOME RIVER OF LIFE EL SALVADOR
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
The church began in a coffee shop among friends, their guitars, and a shared passion for living out their faith in a fresh, deep, and authentic way. Over the next three years, the community grew from 16 to 50 people and began to develop a strong identity rooted in music, prophetic art, and a free and genuine style of worship. Since then, the church has continued to grow and now gathers weekly in the city center of San Salvador.

MEET THE PASTOR
The church is pastored by Pastor Romeo Guevara, together with his wife, Ana Trinidad Perez Morazan, and their son, Benjamin Guevara Perez.
Pastor Romeo came to know Christ through two tragedies that deeply impacted his family during the Salvadoran Civil War in 1980. In the midst of profound crisis, his family turned to seek God together and opened their hearts to Him. What began as a season of tragedy ultimately became a turning point of hope and faith in their family’s lives.
Pastor Romeo began his professional career in accounting, but driven by a deep desire to serve God, he made the decision to leave his career behind and respond to the call he felt to enter into ministry.
這間教會由Romeo Guevara牧師牧養，他的妻子Ana Trinidad Perez Morazan和他們的兒子Benjamin Guevara Perez也一同牧養。

PASSION FOR MINISTRY
With a deep passion for preaching, teaching, and evangelism, his vision is to see the Church strengthened through biblical preaching that not only informs, but transforms lives. He desires to cultivate an authentic evangelical spirituality rooted in biblical truth, pastoral sensitivity, and relevance to today’s world.
His passion for sharing God’s Word extends beyond the pulpit. Through his blog and love for writing, which has reached more than 2.5 million readers, and six published books focused on biblical teaching and the Gospels of Mark and Luke, he continues to encourage believers toward a deeper and more conscious faith.
Above all, his greatest passion is to share the good news with those who do not yet know Christ. He firmly believes that the gospel remains the power of God to transform lives, heal wounds, and give eternal purpose—and he is committed to proclaiming it through preaching, teaching, and writing.
他熱衷於講道、教導和傳福音，他的異象是透過聖經講道來加強教會，這種講道不僅能傳授知識，還能改變生命。他渴望培養一種真正的福音派靈性，這種靈性植根於聖經真理、牧養關懷，並與當今世界息息相關。

THE CHURCH TODAY
Currently, the church has an average weekly attendance of 40 members. This year, their focus has been “God Goes Ahead: Let Us Walk Toward the New.” They believe that 2026 will be a year of discernment, faith, and spiritual growth. As a church, they recognize that God is calling them to walk new paths—not in haste or fear, but by following His presence and aligning their hearts, worship, spiritual lives, and mission with His will.
目前，教會平均每週有40位會友參加聚會。今年，他們的主題是「神先行：讓我們走向新天新地」。他們相信2026年將是辨別、信心和靈命成長的一年。作為教會，他們認識到神正在呼召他們走上新的道路——不是出於倉促或恐懼，而是透過跟隨神的同在，並將他們的心、敬拜、靈命生活和使命與神的旨意相契合。

BECOMING RIVER OF LIFE
Pastor Tong met Pastor Romeo through Pastor Salvador of ROLCC Guatemala. We are very excited to welcome Pastor Romeo Guevara and his church into the River of Life family as of June 2026.
