ROLCC’s first branch in Senegal was established in June 2012, located in Senegalese capital city of Dakar. Pastor Matthias, formerly responsible for the youth ministry of the ROLCC in Togo, who was sent by ROLCC Togo to pray in Senegal in early 2012. Under the inspiration of God, he decided to set up a branch church as a base for evangelism.
Senegal is located on the westernmost part of the African continent, first introduced to Islam in the 11th century and became a French colony in 1864. Senegalese nationality was completely independent on 20 June 1960. Senegal's economy is dominated by agriculture, fisheries, mining, and industry. Its industrialization is higher than that of other West African countries and is now one of the countries with the fastest economic growth in the world. Today, 95% of Senegal nationals are Muslims. When spreading evangelism to Muslims, they often faced persecution and many difficulties. Many Muslims, after they were converted to Christianity, encountered difficulties in confronting their families and the society, and were often driven out of their homes, so the church and pastor's home became their only refuge, and their material and spiritual support. There is great pressure and burden on Pastor Matthias and their families who are new immigrants to the country themselves. However, through the grace of God, in a short span of several years the church has set up several groups in different locations, and despite the global spread of the covid epidemic, it is still growing.
Pastor Matthias is a passionate and visionary pastor who actively expands the kingdom of God in Africa. He is not only the pastor of the Senegal daughter church, but also the regional director of the ROLCC Africa. As of now, Pastor Matthias has led the Senegal team to establish four daughter churches in Senegal, and looks forward to expanding more in the coming years. In addition, Pastor Matthias also assists in the work of other daughter churches in Africa. We pray that God will continue to guide and bless us, to further expand the reach of Pastor Matthias and his Senegalese team, to remove all obstacles, and that the Gospel may be heard throughout Senegal and the whole world.

塞內加爾國位於非洲大陸的最西端，在11世紀伊斯蘭教第一次傳入該地區，1864年成為法國殖民地，1960年6月20日才完全獨立，經濟以農業、漁業、礦業、工業為主，工業化程度較其他西非國家高，已為世界經濟增長最快的國家之一，現今95%的塞內加爾人是回教徒。Matthias牧師與少數同工們努力將福音的信息帶給當地的百姓，面對著向回教徒傳福音時受到的逼迫，以及信主後的回教徒在家人和外界壓迫下持守信心的困難，他們改信基督教後多被趕出家門，教會和牧師的家成為他們唯一的避難之處，也成為他們物質及心靈的依靠，可以想像到身為新移民Matthias牧師的一家負擔之大。靠着神的恩典，在短短的數年內該堂已在不同的地點成立了多個小組，在新冠肺炎疫情全球蔓延的情況下，仍在不斷的成長之中。
Matthias牧師是一個充滿熱情和遠見的牧師，積極的在非洲擴展神的國度，他不僅是塞內加爾分堂的牧師，也是ROLCC非洲ROLY會議組織的負責人。至今，Matthias牧師已經帶領塞內加爾團隊建立了四間分堂。另外，Matthias牧師也協助非洲其他分堂的工作。求神持續地帶領和恩典，繼續擴張Matthias牧師與塞內加爾團隊的境界，除去一切的攔阻，使塞內加爾及全地都得聽福音。
