The first ROLCC daughter church in the Philippines was established in February 2010 by Pastor Bill Baldwin on Camiguin Island. In 2012, the church relocated to Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao, the second largest island in the Philippines, where Pastor Arlex Abugho assumed leadership, spreading the gospel to the surrounding community. After Pastor Baldwin’s passing in August 2013, Pastor Arlex continued to lead the church with humility, enthusiasm, and faith, maintaining strong connections with other local churches.
Despite facing challenges such as devastating earthquakes and typhoons, God upheld the church through these difficult times, and the congregation, filled with gratitude, continued to expand the kingdom of God. Today, the River of Life Church in the Philippines is experiencing rapid growth, with 62 branches and over 3,800 people gathering every Sunday.
Over the years, the church has made a significant impact on the community, offering school outreach programs, pre-marriage counseling at the city hall, and launching a successful gospel ministry for the LGBT community. The church’s positive relationship with the mayor has further amplified its influence throughout the city.
To support this rapid expansion, they are focusing on training pastors and leaders. At the same time, by strengthening post-baptismal courses for new believers, they are helping them build a solid foundation in their faith and practice discipleship. In addition, they will hold more pastor retreats to ensure that pastors who toil for the Lord are spiritually nourished and continue their journey.

Thank God for using this church, not only greatly expanding its daughter church network but also extending its ministry to every corner of the community. Also thank God for their friendly relationship with the mayor. Pray that the Lord will preserve this relationship, enabling the church to bring more changes to the city in accordance with God's will through cooperation with the public sector.
