Mozambique is located in southern East Africa and became a Portuguese colony in the early 16th century. It was independent from Portugal in 1975. The official language is Portuguese. After independence, continuous civil war caused it to be declared as a low-developed and heavily indebted poor country by the United Nations. After the civil war ended in 1992, the country’s politics became stable and the economy began to develop rapidly.
Pastor Eddieu, the pastor of ROLCC in Mozambique, was born in Ghana. He became a Christian in 1990 and served in the church in Ghana. He went to Ivory Coast later and served in the local church. Introduced by the pastor in Ivory Coast, he was admitted to the localBible school for further studies and graduated in 2003, and was ordained and served in the church as the assistant pastor for 3 years. Then he was sent to South Africa as a missionary in 2006 and started the Sinai Revival Church in the same year.
In 2009, He married his wife who is also a preacher and a cousin of Pastor Texford’s wife. Pastor Texford is the senior pastor of ROLCC in Ghana. Pastor Texford and his wife shared the vision of ROLCC with them and they were moved greatly. He andhis wife participated in the ROLCC Shepherd's Prayer Meeting in West Africa in 2017 for three consecutive years and met Pastor Tong. Pastor Eddieu went to Mozambique in 2019 and established a cell group in the capital Maputo. He was able to conduct many gospel outreach and door-to-door evangelism ministries in local communities, and started discipleship and co-workers training. They formally joined ROLCC in 2020 and were sent to Mozambique to plant churches.
Soon after due to the epidemic, Mozambique closed its borders and prohibited foreigners from entering, and the physical meetings of churches and groups had also been interrupted. Pastor Eddieu’s family then moved back to South Africa and shepherded the believers and co-workers in Mozambique through the Internet and social platforms. Thanks to God for his protection and leadership, they have returned to Mozambique and resumed physical gatherings after the pandemic has ended. Thank God for continuing to lead them to carry out gospel work in the local area. In 2026, the church’s main goal is to evangelize within the community with special focus reaching out to young people. They also continue to hope to build new churches and preach the gospel to all people in need. May God continue to lead them and bless the work in their hands to testify to God’s love and demonstrate God’s love, and God's glory.

Let us also pray that all obstacles—such as busy schedules, lack of motivation, or social anxiety—will be removed, enabling them to participate enthusiastically in our family.
