Italy, officially the Italian Republic, is a country in Southern Europe, located on a peninsula extending into the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia, and also encloses two independent states: Vatican City and San Marino. The capital and largest city is Rome.
Italy is known for its scenic landscapes and has played a central role in world history as being home of the Roman Empire, one of the greatest civilizations in history and the birthplace of the Renaissance, a cultural and artistic revival. River of Life was introduced to Pastor Michael Tagoe through Pastor Texford, Regional Director in Ghana, at a pastoral conference in Africa. Pastor Michael Tagoe was later commissioned and sent to plant a church in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
The River of Life church in Italy is a vibrant African congregation, drawing many immigrants from English-speaking African nations. Since its establishment in Reggio Emilia, the church has expanded to plant two additional churches in the cities of Verona and Trento.
