On January 4, 2008, ROLCC officially welcomed its newest daughter church in Reggio Emilia, Italy, a small town near Bologna. This congregation is led by Pastor Michael Tagoe, who pastors a community primarily made up of Ghanaian and Nigerian members. Pastor Michael has been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years, having first been called in Ghana. After moving to Italy in 1993, he actively served in various ministry capacities, including leading groups, organizing prayer meetings, and training leaders. In 2006, he founded Living Faith, which became an official ROLCC branch in 2008.

The church’s choir is exceptionally talented, and before the COVID-19 pandemic, they were actively expanding their groups and focusing on children’s and youth ministries. With a dedicated and energetic core team, the church has shown great potential for growth. Their efforts have also led to the establishment of two additional branches in Trento and Verona, Italy. Pastor Liu has visited multiple times to encourage and support these branches.

However, recent challenges, including Italy’s struggling economy and the influx of refugees, have led many families from the three branches to leave for the UK in search of better opportunities. This has posed significant challenges to the continued growth of these churches. In response, Pastor Michael has established a cell group in the UK to continue pastoring those members who have relocated.

Please pray for God’s protection over the brothers and sisters in this congregation, that they may grow spiritually and be well-prepared in their lives. In 2024, the goal is to expand by establishing a fourth branch and securing a permanent church building. May God’s presence and the anointing of the Holy Spirit empower them to experience His mighty works and become strong messengers of the gospel, spreading His word throughout Italy.
