Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa, located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert, was a French colony. It gained independence in 1960 and adopted the nameBurkina Faso in 1984, which means "the land of the honest people." It is historically an ancient civilization in West Africa, yet today it has the lowest literacy rate in the world. More than two-thirds of the people live in rural areas, and most of the population is engaged in subsistence agriculture or animal husbandry. The difficult economic situation is worsened by severe intermittent droughts. Rev. Corneille of ROLCC in Benin is a pastor and missionary devoting himself to evangelism, and he hopes to spread the gospel to all French-speaking countries in Africa. To begin with, he and his coworkers wanted to bring the gospel message to the neighboring country, Burkina Faso. After a year of hard work, in April 2009 he took his coworkers from Benin to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, and held the first Sunday worship in May of 2009, and the new church was formally established as first branch of ROLCC in BurkinaFaso. Pastor Kole Mathieu, who is in charge of the church, faced obstacles from spreading the gospel to Muslims and the oppression that Muslims endured after they became Christians. It is not easy to maintain faith and experience numerous difficulties in this field of pioneering the gospel. . Especially this year marks the 15th anniversary of Burkina Faso River of Life Bread of Life Church. We thank God that through God’s leadership, the church is growing stronger and more stable. I also pray that God will continue to protect the entire Burkina Faso team. In 2024, they hope to plant a fifth church. By continuing to plant churches, they hope to bless the entire country.

布吉納法索(BurkinaFaso)是西非的內陸國家，位於撒哈拉沙漠的南緣，曾是法國殖民地，它於1960年獲得獨立，1984年採用了布吉納法索這個名字，意思是「廉潔人民的土地」。雖然布吉納法索在歷史上是西非的文明古國，如今卻是世界上識字率最低的國家，三分之二以上的人民住在鄉村裡，大部份的人口從事自給農業或畜牧業，艱難的經濟狀況，因嚴重的間歇性乾旱而變得更糟。貝南生命河靈糧堂的主任牧師-Corneille牧師是一位熱心傳福音的牧者和宣教士，他希望將福音傳遍非洲說法語的國家。他與同工們齊心努力，要將福音的信息帶給鄰邦布吉納法索的百姓。經過Corneille牧師和團隊一年的努力，終於在2009年4月，從貝南前往布吉納法索的首都瓦加杜古(Ouagadougou)宣教和植堂，五月份的第一個主日開始聚會，新的分堂正式成立，成為生命河在布吉納法索的第一間分堂。負責該堂的KoleMathieu牧師面對著向回教徒傳福音的阻擋，及回教徒信主後承受的壓迫，要能持守信心的不易，在這開拓福音的禾場中經歷重重的困難。靠着神的恩典，該堂日見成長，目前已在不同的地點成立了四間分堂。特別今年會是布吉納法索生命河靈糧堂的15週年紀念，感謝神，透過神的帶領，教會日漸茁壯穩定，也求神持續保守整個布吉納法索團隊。2025年，他們希望能再拓殖第五間教會，透過不斷地拓殖教會，希望能祝福整個國家。
